Ukrainian Red Cross Society hosts first nationwide health promotion forum
The first nationwide forum, "Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Building a Healthy Generation," was held in Kyiv. The forum was organized by the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) with the support of the Norwegian Red Cross.
"We work to ensure that every person has the opportunity to live in a healthy environment and to develop beneficial habits within the family and the community," said Tetiana Kirienko, acting head of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention program of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
More than 100 people took part in the forum, the URCS team together with representatives of partner organizations in the healthcare sector. Since the launch of health promotion activities, nearly 24,000 events have been held. Today, this area of work covers 13 regions of Ukraine, and several more regions will join it next year.
