Silpo, ATB, Novus and Aurora chains in Kyiv continue to operate, spot closures are possible
The Silpo, ATB, Novus and Aurora retail chains in Kyiv continue to operate under conditions of heat and electricity restrictions, however, changes in the schedule and temporary spot closures are possible, retailers told Interfax-Ukraine.
Stores in the Aurora chain are operating normally. Reports circulating on social media about mass closures of Aurora stores are false, the company’s press service said.
The retailer noted that individual stores may temporarily close if generators or other power sources fail.
Similarly, Novus said reports of widespread supermarket closures are not accurate.
"The chain continues to operate, but due to power outages, some stores may temporarily operate with limited services or adjusted hours. We ask customers to check the current status of specific stores in advance at https://novus.ua/robotamagazyniv/ or by calling the hotline at 0 800 601 729," Novus explained.
All ATB stores in Kyiv and the surrounding region are operating normally, the company’s press service said on Facebook.
"In isolated cases of technical or logistical difficulties, the company responds quickly and takes the necessary measures to resolve them," the statement said.
Silpo also warned of possible temporary closures of supermarkets due to equipment maintenance. Customers can check the status of specific stores via the company’s social media or the hotline at 0800 301 707.
"Low temperatures and occasional blackouts sometimes cause equipment failures in individual supermarkets. In such cases, a store may be temporarily closed. At the same time, on-site teams are doing everything possible to resume operations as quickly as possible," the company told the agency.
