HQ meeting decides to enhance 'Drone Line' defense – Umerov
Participants in the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters on Tuesday discussed the capabilities of the Defense Forces to increase the unmanned component.
"According to the results, a decision was made to increase the effectiveness of the "Drone Line," strengthen management and provide it with the necessary resources. The Ministry of Defense was instructed to streamline and ensure a clear distribution of funds between means of destruction, as well as find additional financial opportunities to cover the urgent needs of the Defense Forces. Attention was also focused on scaling up the production of fiber-optic drones, taking into account the range and accuracy of destruction," Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, said on Telegram.
The participants of the meeting also considered the development of the military-political situation and the prospects of the enemy in the first half of 2026, with a separate focus on the drone and technological component.
