President of Czech Republic visits hospital in Vynnyky, announces aid in restoring energy sector
During his visit to Ukraine, the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, visited the hospital in Vynnyky, Lviv region, where he met with doctors and the wounded, and also reported on the assistance of Czech companies in restoring the energy sector in Ukraine.
"Hospital classrooms for children and specialized rehabilitation clinics with prosthetic centers have become a regular part of the local healthcare system. The Czech Republic financially contributed to the renovation of the surgical department and operating rooms in Vynnyky, where Czech doctors visit throughout the year as part of the MEDEVAC program. In addition, the determination of Ukrainians to defend their country can be measured in numbers: more than half of war veterans return to the front after treatment," Pavel wrote on X on Friday.
The president also noted that Czech companies are already participating in the restoration of Ukraine’s energy sector.
"Two days ago, a state of emergency was declared in Ukraine’s energy sector. Czech companies specializing in natural gas extraction, renewable energy, and heating and hot water systems are taking part in its recovery. This is an excellent example of aid and economic cooperation going hand in hand. At a time when darkness and cold are used as forms of pressure, the Czechs act here not only as businesspeople but, above all, as partners and allies," Pavel wrote.
