Svyrydenko: Defense Minister Fedorov takes situation with TCK into consideration
Newly appointed Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is tasked with increasing military motivation and improving the mobilization situation, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated during government question hour in the Verkhovna Rada.
In response to a question from Ukrainian MP Heorhiy Mazurash (Servant of the People) regarding so-called conscription, which, in his words, "is having an extremely powerful impact on our defense capability and driving citizens underground and the economy into the shadows," the prime minister said: "Defense Minister Fedorov is tasked with increasing military motivation and introducing contract service; he’s taken this on board. We all understand, of course, the negative impact of conscription, but it’s not such a simple task in the context of a full-scale invasion."
