US special reps Witkoff and Kushner to participate in talks in Abu Dhabi on Feb 4 - White House

US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner will join the trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US and Russia to end the war, the next stage of which will start on February 4 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt has said.

"Special Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be in Abu Dhabi tomorrow for the next round of trilateral talks," Levitt said during a conversation with reporters.

According to her, the trilateral talks, which took place on January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi, are "historic in nature."

"Never before have these three countries of ours truly been able to sit down at the negotiating table to advance the cause of peace," she added.

As reported, representatives of Ukraine, the United States and the Russian Federation held trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi (the capital of the United Arab Emirates) on Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24.

A member of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, previously reported that the Russian delegation includes representatives of military intelligence and the army. From the US side, the consultations were attended by special envoys of US President Donald Trump, Stephen Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Josh Gruenbaum, General Daniel Driscoll and General Alex Hrynkevich. From Ukraine, the head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, first deputy head of the Presidential Administration Serhiy Kyslytsia, and head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia.
