Umerov and Arakhamia meet with Italian defense minister, reps of security agencies and defense companies

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov and head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia met with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, diplomatic adviser to the Prime Minister Fabrizio Saggio, and representatives of Italian security agencies.

Umerov announced this on Telegram on Thursday. "We discussed defense, energy, and economic support for Ukraine, and also coordinated our positions on further steps of cooperation," he wrote.

Separate meetings were also held with the leadership of major defense companies. "We discussed strengthening the Ukrainian defense industry, in particular developing air defense capabilities to protect our cities," Umerov added.

As reported, on February 17-18, in Geneva, a Ukrainian delegation led by Umerov held negotiations on a peaceful settlement in the trilateral Ukraine-USA-Russia format.
