Germany will continue supporting Ukraine despite Middle East hostilities — Klöckner
Germany will continue supporting Ukraine despite hostilities in the Middle East, Bundestag President Julia Klöckner said.
"I can tell you with great confidence that we will not forget Ukraine because a new crisis — Iran — has emerged," Klöckner said at a joint briefing with Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk on Wednesday.
For his part, Stefanchuk thanked Germany for its constant support of Ukraine and all its initiatives.
"I want to emphasize once again that Ukraine is ready to share its unique experience in defending our state," the Verkhovna Rada speaker said.
He stressed that the war in the Middle East is an entirely new war — with new tactics, methods and types of weapons, and Ukraine knows how to counter this and is ready to share its knowledge with partners.
