Humeniuk suspected of Aug 31 grenade explosion outside Rada remanded in custody
The Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has ordered that Ihor Humeniuk, suspected by investigators of throwing a grenade at law enforcers during riots outside Verkhovna Rada on August 31, be remanded in custody for two months, a spokesperson for Kyiv prosecutors told Interfax on Wednesday.
The same court also ordered, at the prosecutors' request, a two-month detention of four other suspects in the riots, the spokesperson said.
In all, the prosecutors want 18 suspects to be remanded in custody as part of the inquiry into the events outside Rada.
