Umerov during visit to Khortytsia task force: Development of new technologies one of priorities of Defense Ministry
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and his team made a working trip to the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia and combat units conducting defensive and offensive operations in the eastern direction, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
As reported, the commander of the Khortytsia task force, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, reported to the Minister of Defense on the work at the joint command post, control of the actions of units within the group, as well as the operational situation at the front in the area of responsibility of Khortytsia, the composition of enemy forces and assets, as well as directions of his likely actions.
Also, as the press service reports, the minister visited combat units - the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo, the 92nd separate assault brigade named after chieftain Ivan Sirko, 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar, 80th separate air assault brigade, and 5th separate assault brigade.
During a visit to the 93rd separate mechanized brigade Kholodny Yar, the Minister of Defense focused on the features of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. "The development of new technologies is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Defense team. This is an unprecedented war using the latest types of weapons. We must be stronger, one step ahead of our enemy, scale up technological solutions and create our Ukrainian victory technologies. We are working on this," Umerov noted.
