Rada to adopt bill on national minorities necessary to start EU membership talks soon – Arakhamia
The Verkhovna Rada plans to adopt a bill on national minorities, which is necessary to open negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the European Union, at one of the next plenary sessions, Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia has said.
"We held a preparatory meeting to register a bill on national minorities, which should streamline our legislation on this issue with the that of the EU. We plan to consider it as soon as possible, at one of the upcoming meetings," he said on the Telegram channel on Friday.
The parliamentarian noted that the adoption of the relevant law is the last requirement for opening negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the European Union.
