URCS volunteers help free people from snowdrifts in Odesa region
The rapid response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) of Odesa region helped free people from snowdrifts during bad weather in the region.
“The situation is difficult in Odesa region: in some places snowdrifts reach one and a half meters. Therefore, to help solve the situation on the roads, a rapid response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society of Odesa region was involved. In coordination with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, volunteers worked outside the city, helping drivers, stuck in traffic jams,” the URCS reported on Facebook on Monday.
Volunteers also went to the highway towards Palanca (in Moldova), where they freed people from a bus trapped in the snow, which had been standing on the highway for more than 12 hours.
