In order to expand logistics corridors, raid-strike operations are being carried out in Avdiivka area, logistics are working, ammunition and other means of destruction are being supplied to soldiers in increased volumes, Commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of forces Oleksandr Tarnavsky said.
"In order to expand the logistics corridors, raid-strike operations are being carried out in Avdiivka area. Logistics is working. On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition and other means of destruction are being supplied to the defenders and defenders of Avdiivka in increased volumes. Sustainable command and control of the troops is ensured," he said in Telegram channel on Friday.
It is indicated that as of 13.00 there are no blocked Ukrainian units in Avdiivka.
"In a difficult situation on the battlefield, when only ruins and a pile of broken bricks remain from the fortification, our priority is to preserve the lives of soldiers. Yes, Ukrainian units withdrew from their position on the southern outskirts of Avdiivka with minor losses. In other threatening directions, if necessary, troops are also maneuvering to move to new prepared positions in order to be able to continue to destroy the Russian occupiers and hold the city," he said.
Tarnavsky said fierce fighting continues within the borders of Avdiivka. The enemy carries out massive bombing strikes day and night, and does not stop assaults simultaneously in several directions.
"Our forces are using all available means to contain the enemy. There is a planned reinforcement of units," he said.
