Zelenskyy: New security agreement prepared for Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced preparations for signing a new agreement on cooperation in the field of security with a foreign partner state.

"A new security agreement has been prepared for Ukraine. A strong deal that will truly support our entire security architecture. And this is what will guarantee our security until Ukraine joins NATO. A decision that will be irreversible," Zelenskyy said in an evening video message on Thursday.

The head of state also said that he held a long meeting on Thursday regarding the NATO summit, which will take place from July 9 to July 12 in Washington. In particular, as he noted, the summit should become strong for Ukraine and its partners.

"A meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council will also take place. We are working on the details of new decisions, new documents that we will sign with our partners. There must be good things, including air defense," he concluded.
