Every fourth respondent does not support govt measures against those trying to defer mobilization by enrolling in university
Some 25.8% of Ukrainians consider government measures against those who are trying to get a deferment from mobilization by enrolling in universities to be excessive, according to the results of a study by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine.
According to the outcomes of the study, which were presented at the Interfax-Ukraine press center on Tuesday, 17.9% consider the measures taken by the state against those who are trying to get a deferment from mobilization by enrolling in universities (bachelor's, master's, postgraduate degrees), insufficient, 24% consider the measures taken sufficient, 25.8% consider these measures excessive, and 27.1% found it difficult to answer.
Also, when asked how respondents felt about the abolition of evening and correspondence courses for university students, 54% of respondents answered negatively (overall plus rather negatively), and 23.1% - positively (overall plus rather positively).
The study, which was conducted from October 14 to October 23, 2024, involved 1,513 respondents from a sample representing the adult population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government. The sampling error is 3.2%. The representation of teachers in the electoral population was increased according to the principle of convex sampling.
