About EUR 100,000 transferred by France for arrangement of classes in five educational institutions of Sumy region
France has provided about EUR 100,000 for the construction of modern classrooms in five institutions of Sumy region.
The funds will be used to repair classrooms, purchase equipment and furniture necessary for children's education in institutions of Sumy, Romny, Akhtyrka, Konotop and Shostka, Sumy Regional Military Administration reported on Telegram on Saturday.
As the head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, noted, it was possible to raise funds for the region thanks to cooperation with foreign partners.
"Most recently, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Jean-Noel Barrot, visited Sumy region. We talked about projects that are important for our region and for our people today, in particular, we came to an agreement on financing our educational industry. And already today, in such a short period of time, we are already seeing the results of this cooperation," Artiukh said.
