Ukraine's virtual bank monobank expands its own network of top-up terminals

Virtual bank monobank, created by Fintech Band LLC on the basis of Universal Bank and currently ranking second in the market by number of cards, has begun expanding a network of its own top-up terminals.
"We've started installing them (mono terminals) in cities across Ukraine and developing our own top-up network. Right now, there are very few – just 1,200 – but we've only just started," wrote Fintech Band co-founder Oleh Gorokhovsky on Telegram.
According to National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) statistics, as of June 1 this year, Universal Bank had 9.89 million active cards (with at least one transaction per month), compared to 31.13 million at market leader PrivatBank and 7.92 million at Oschadbank, which ranked third. Overall, the market had 58.79 million such cards.
NBU data also showed that as of the same date, Universal Bank operated 17 self-service devices, placing it 31st on the market, where the total number of such devices stood at 30,470. PrivatBank led with 17,290 machines.
