Azerbaijan helps restore Irpen polyclinic

The first stage of the overhaul of the city polyclinic in Irpen, Kyiv region, damaged as a result of the Russian occupation in 2022, has been completed.

The reconstruction was carried out with the financial support of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). The restoration was also facilitated by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine.

As part of the first stage, major repairs and insulation of facades and

roofs, replacement of windows and repair of entrance groups were carried out. The SOCAR Blago charitable foundation allocated 60 million hryvnia for these works.

The second stage of restoration of the polyclinic building, also financed by SOCAR,

includes the construction of a shelter, installation of a fire alarm and ventilation. Completion of the overhaul of the polyclinic is planned for the end of this year.

It was previously reported that the city of Irpen has already been restored by 80% after the destruction caused by the hostilities in the spring of 2022.

Azerbaijani-Ukrainian diplomatic relations were officially established on February 6, 1992, after Azerbaijan recognized Ukraine's independence. During Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv temporarily suspended its operations, but resumed operations on April 30, 2022.

SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic) is a state-owned oil and gas company of Azerbaijan, founded in 1992. Its headquarters are in Baku.

SOCAR produces oil and natural gas onshore and offshore in the Caspian Sea, manages the country's only oil refinery and gas processing plant, and operates several oil and gas export pipelines. SOCAR in Ukraine began its operations in 2009. Today, the SOCAR network of gas stations in Ukraine includes more than 60 gas stations in different regions of the country, including Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro and other cities.
