Zaluzhny speaks to mayors of largest British cities, reports on expansion of partnerships with Ukrainian cities
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Valeriy Zaluzhny has spoke to the mayors of the largest British cities and regions, which are currently expanding partnership programs with Ukrainian cities and providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
"Today, we already have more than two dozen partnerships between Ukrainian and British cities. And this list is constantly growing, and memoranda are turning into real projects in various areas. We are grateful for the support that Ukrainians receive during the war - familiar British cities that themselves survived the bombings in World War II are often written on boxes with humanitarian aid," Zaluzhny wrote on Facebook on Monday.
He noted the Agreement on a Centennial Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom, which opens up opportunities for joint projects in various areas from innovation to local self-government, within the framework of which he emphasized cooperation in the defense sector.
Britain has already done a lot to strengthen our defense, but we are looking further. We want to develop joint production, technologies and training. We want Ukrainian and British experience to mutually enrich each other. So that together we make Europe safer," the ambassador wrote.
