A professional training for the mobile rehabilitation teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) took place in Volyn region.

"The goal of the training is aimed to teach participants skills in providing physical rehabilitation, with the aim of further disseminating this knowledge and enabling the URCS' mobile rehabilitation teams to offer rehabilitation assistance to residents of remote areas and vulnerable populations who do not have access to medical care," the URCS reported on Facebook on Tuesday.

Mobile rehabilitation teams from five regions of the country participated in the training. Over three days, they were trained how to select and provide assistive rehabilitation devices, take care of patients, and transfer patients.

Hisamoto Nakashima, a physical therapist from the Japanese Red Cross, shared practical skills and knowledge on physical therapy with the participants.

The Japanese Red Cross supports the activities of mobile rehabilitation teams in two regions of Ukraine and is ready to provide technical support to areas in need.
