Thirty Russian attack drones shot down at night – Air Force
The Air Forces of Ukraine shot down 30 attack unmanned aerial vehicles in the sky over Ukraine, launched by the Russian occupiers on Wednesday night, commander of the Air Forces Mykola Oleschuk said on the Telegram channel.
"On the night of August 7, 2024, the Russian occupiers attacked with shock UAVs of the Shahed type from the districts of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeysk of the Russian Federation. The radio engineering troops of the Air Force identified and escorted 30 attack drones. As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, all enemy UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions," he wrote.
According to Oleschuk, during the operation to destroy enemy drones, the forces and means of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare of the Air Forces were used.
As reported, on the night of August 7, air defense units destroyed four Russian UAVs over Khmelnytsky region, due to the attack, the buildings of a local enterprise were damaged.
