Zelenskyy signs law on honorable burial at the National War Memorial Cemetery
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed the law of Ukraine on amendments to some laws of Ukraine on ensuring the implementation of the military funeral ritual during the honorable burial at the National War Memorial Cemetery.
The corresponding mark appeared in the card of law No. 3885-ІХ on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The law provides the possibility of burying the fallen defenders of Ukraine in the memorial cemetery with the appropriate ceremony in 2024.
The amendments of the Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee added the possibility of burying police officers killed in the war at the National War Memorial Cemetery.
It is also stipulated that cenotaphs, symbolic tombstones without direct burial of the body, can be created on the territory of the National War Memorial Cemetery.
