Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kyiv, agreements were reached on other areas of cooperation, including military-technical.

"Today, Indian Prime Minister Modi visited Ukraine. This is the first such visit during the relations between India and independent Ukraine. We have talked for a long time now. Both about Russia's war against Ukraine and about the need to ensure a just peace. We greatly appreciate that Mr. Modi began the visit by honoring the memory of Ukrainian children whose lives were taken by Russian aggression," Zelenskyy said in his video address on Friday evening.

The president thanked India for the support packages provided, and also stressed the importance of the Indian side remaining a supporter of international law and supporting the "basic principles:" the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

"India is also involved in our work on the Peace Formula – it was represented at the Peace Summit, and we work in the relevant groups according to the Peace Formula. All this adds to our optimism, and it is important that as many global actors as possible clearly express their position on the fundamental norms of international law and visit Ukraine – demonstrate their real support," the president said.

He said that in addition to the four intergovernmental documents signed by Ukraine and India, "there are also agreements on other areas of cooperation, including military-technical cooperation."

"We are preparing other important negotiations," Zelenskyy said.
