Fifteen regions come under Russian massive attack on Monday – Shmyhal

Fifteen regions were affected by Russia's massive attack this morning, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said on Monday morning.

"Fifteen regions were affected by Russia's massive attack today. The enemy launched various types of weapons: drone, cruise missiles, Kinzhal missiles. There are casualties. My sincere condolences to the families and friends," he said on the Telegram channel.

According to the prime minister, Russia's target was the energy system of Ukraine.

"Unfortunately, there are damages in several regions. Ukrenergo had to introduce emergency power outages in order to stabilize the system," he said.

The heads of regions have been instructed to open Resilience Centers if necessary, Shmyhal said.

"In order to stop the barbaric shelling of Ukrainian cities, it is necessary to destroy the targets which launch Russian missiles. To do this, Ukraine needs long-range weapons and permission from its partners to hit Russian facilities with them. We are counting on the support of our allies and we will definitely make Russia pay," he said.
