Ukraine’s MFA calls on world community to condemn Russia's systematic killings, torture of Ukrainian POWs
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi, called on the world community to strongly condemn another war crime of the occupying army of the Russian Federation.
«We are appalled by the horrific footage obtained by CNN TV channel, which shows Russians killing surrendering Ukrainian soldiers in cold blood,” he said on X.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that this war crime is part of Russia's ongoing gross violations of international humanitarian law. Russian barbarism is a disgrace to humanity.
“We urge all states and international organizations to strongly condemn Russia's systematic murder and torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war. All efforts must be consolidated to fulfill President Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula provisions requiring the return of all illegally detained persons,” the spokesperson stressed.
