Air Defense eliminates 58 of 67 attack UAVs – Air Force
Ukrainian Air Defense eliminated 58 of 67 enemy attack UAVs on Saturday night, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
"As a result of the air battle, 58 attack UAVs were shot down, six UAVs left the airspace controlled by Ukraine, flying in the direction of Russia, Belarus and temporarily occupied Luhansk region. Another three enemy UAVs were locally lost on the territory of Ukraine [presumably fell under the influence of electronic warfare systems]," the report says.
It is reported that air defense was operating in Vinnytsia, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Kherson and Poltava regions.
The air command reports that the enemy attacked with strike UAVs of the Shahed type (launch areas - Kursk, Yeysk - Russia, Chauda - Crimea). In total, the radiotechnical troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 67 Shaheds.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups of the electronic warfare unit of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.
