Zelenskyy: It is easy to condemn Russian missile, but it's not so easy to admit this missile may have parts from any part of world
The efforts of Ukraine and all allies prove that the safety of children today concerns everyone in the world, it should unite regardless of any political level, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen.
"Today, our children are asking completely non-childish, adult questions, what is flying again, when can they go outside, and whether it was an incoming missile or our air defense, when will daddy return and why won't God punish and take this Putin away. And the most important question is when will this war end," Zelenskyy said.
The president said this question requires honest answers and that everyone be honest with themselves. "Because it is very easy to condemn the Russian missile, because it is a fact. It is flying towards our school. But it is not so easy to admit that this missile may contain parts from America, from Europe, from Asia, from any part of the world," the head of state said.
He added that today's summit and in particular, all the efforts of Ukraine and its partners in general prove that the safety of children concerns everyone. "It should unite, it unites everyone today, regardless of any political level. Leaders of states, first ladies, gentlemen, international organizations, institutions, active, courageous, most importantly – caring people from all over the world, and in general adults who will have to overcome non-childish challenges," Zelenskyy said.
The president said Ukraine "definitely strives to solve this problem" and knows the answers to all questions, offers its own solutions to peace. "Our Peace Formula, our Victory Plan, the Peace Summit – there are all these fair answers to a fair end to the war," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that those who encroached, first of all, on the safety of our children, will answer for what they did, and the repetition of such atrocities in the future should become impossible.
"So that the world never again in the future sees a photo of an ordinary children's room, into which a shell landed, or a child who is pulled out from under the rubble after a missile strike with various parts. This war and all wars must become a thing of the past. Ukraine strives for this very much," the head of state said.
