Sybiha urges partners to provide long-term financial assistance to Ukraine

Against the backdrop of the budget process in partner countries, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha urged them to provide long-term financial assistance to Ukraine, noting that war is not only about weapons, but also about the economy.

"During this time of budgetary process in many countries, we urge partners to ensure lasting financial assistance to Ukraine. Long-term commitments, such as those under Kyiv Compact security agreements, give confidence that we will win and defend our shared values and security," he said on the X social network on Tuesday.

He also noted the importance of the economic component of the war: "War is not only weapons, but also economy. Financial assistance to Ukraine is crucial. Every dollar of non-military support frees one dollar of our own to strengthen our defense. Whatever the cost of supporting Ukraine, the cost of allowing Russia to succeed would be much higher."
