Ukraine creating hotline for reporting abuses of Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers – Poroshenko

A hotline is being created in Ukraine to report abuses by Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers, said co-chairman of the European Solidarity faction Petro Poroshenko.

“According to my proposal, which was supported by the leadership of the Armed Forces, a state hotline is being created, where every citizen of Ukraine will be able to contact the leadership of the Armed Forces and report violations of their functional rights and freedoms, corruption on the part of representatives of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers and others,” Poroshenko said at a briefing on Wednesday.

According to him, an agreement has been reached to open a hotline during three weeks.

“This line will allow the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to promptly respond to violations of laws, including the law on mobilization, and to corruption,” Poroshenko emphasized.

He also said that the decision to create a hotline was made at a conciliation council of the leaders of factions and groups of the Verkhovna Rada with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

Co-chair of the European Solidarity faction Irina Gerashchenko clarified that the conciliation council with the participation of representatives of the military leadership was “closed in nature” since “many things concerned classified information.”

“We initiated such meetings to be regular – every two weeks,” the deputy noted.

Gerashchenko also added: “We demand that after returning from Ramstein, the Minister of Defense also tell the deputies what the government is doing today to obtain permission from partners to use long-range weapons on Russian territory.”
