Zelenskyy considers lowering mobilization age dangerous

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers lowering the mobilization age dangerous.

"Partners would like to see the age [for mobilization] reduced. We have mobilization from 25 years old, and we do not yet see why these changes should be introduced. I believe that at the present time it is dangerous," Zelensky said in an interview with Ukrainian journalists, which was broadcast on the telethon on Friday.

He also said the Ministry of Defense can conclude contracts with citizens under 25 years old.

"The Ministry of Defense should offer special contracts, special conditions. And then a person, if he wants to serve in such a contract army, has the right to go and serve at any age in accordance with the current legislation," Zelenskyy said.
