Number of children killed by Russian aggression in Ukraine rises to 583

As of the morning of October 26, 2024, official juvenile prosecutors report that 583 children have been killed and over 1,655 have been injured to varying degrees as a result of Russian aggression, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"More than 2,238 children have been affected by Russia's full-scale armed aggression in Ukraine. As of this morning, October 26, juvenile prosecutors report that 583 children have died, and over 1,655 have sustained injuries of varying severity," the Office of the Prosecutor General announced on Telegram on Saturday.

The regions with the highest number of child casualties are Donetsk (595), Kharkiv (454), Dnipropetrovsk (183), Kherson (181), Kyiv (133), and Zaporizhia (145).

The Prosecutor General's Office also reported that on October 25, a 14-year-old girl was killed in a Russian drone attack in Kyiv, while another 14-year-old girl lost her life in Dnipro. Four children were injured: two boys and two girls. An 11-year-old boy was injured when an explosive device was dropped on a civilian vehicle in Kherson region.
