Sybiha: EU has already allocated two-thirds of 2 mln artillery shells, work underway on remaining third

EU member states have already allocated two-thirds of the 2 million artillery shells to Ukraine, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said after a meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
“EU member states have already committed two-thirds of 2 million artillery shells, and we are working to cover the remaining third as soon as possible. I thank Kaja for her important initiative,” he said on X.
Sybiha stressed that “this critical period of time requires bold and big decisions both to deter Russia and advance Ukraine’s EU accession.”
“We agreed on the need to move both processes forward,” Sybiha added.
He stressed that work is continuing to increase pressure on Russia. According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, sanctions are an effective tool for reducing Russia's military budget and forcing it to peace.
