Sybiha to visit Rome for Weimar+ meeting

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, will visit Rome this week to participate in a meeting in the Weimar+ format, Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhy has said.
"Minister Andriy Sybiha is scheduled to participate in the Weimar+ format with Ukraine's key European partners. The meeting will take place in Rome this week," Tykhy said at a briefing in Kyiv.
The spokesman stressed that Sybiha will persuade partners to increase pressure on Moscow and provide more aid to Ukraine in order to achieve peace.
The second important event in which the minister will participate is the GLOBSEC forum in Prague at the invitation of his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky. A number of meetings are planned, as well as a speech by Sybiga.
According to the Italian Foreign Ministry, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, a Weimar+ ministerial meeting dedicated to Ukraine and European security will be held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani. The meeting will be attended by foreign ministers and representatives of Germany, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France and Ukraine, as well as EU and NATO institutions.
