Air Defense neutralizes 30 enemy UAVs out of 58, enemy air attack hit nine locations
On the night of June 18 (from 23:00 on June 17), the enemy attacked with 58 UAVs, air defense neutralized 30 enemy Shahed UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles of other types) in the east and north of the country. Some 12 were shot down by fire weapons, and 18 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare, enemy hits were recorded in nine locations, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"On the night of June 18 [from 23:00 on June 17], the enemy attacked with 58 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia, and Chauda – the temporarily occupied Crimea. The main directions of the attack are Donetsk region, Dnipropetrovsk region and Zaporizhia," the message on the Telegram channel says.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
