Justice Ministry cracks down on illegal state registration schemes

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is working to strengthen control over illegal state registrations, Minister Herman Haluschenko said at the presentation of the draft Government Action Program in Kyiv on Monday.
According to him, the department is closely monitoring any actions of the anti-raider commission, since sometimes its decisions are "controversial."
"Today, my position is that if a registrar, regardless of where he is and who he is, takes actions that later lead to their cancellation due to violation of the law, his access should be canceled and he should go look for another job," he said.
Haluschenko gave an example of a recent case when one registrar made 44 illegal registration actions.
"In fact, what they brought me to sign was a temporary restriction on access for a month. I say: guys, this will not happen, we are canceling access forever, in parallel we are contacting law enforcement agencies," the minister said.
He expressed hope that the situation with the quality of registration services and responsibility will improve in the near future.
