Ukraine to provide commensurate response to Hungary's decision to ban entry of Ukrainian servicemen – FM Sybiha

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has responded to the latest statements of his Hungarian counterpart, Peter Szijjarto, regarding the ban on entry to the country of the commander of the Ukrainian military unit that carried out the "final blow" to the Druzhba oil pipeline.

"How shameless to publish this after the brutal attack by the terrorist state Russia. Peter, if the Russian gas pipeline is more important to you than the Ukrainian children killed by Russia this morning, then this is moral decay. Hungary is on the wrong side of history. We will take commensurate actions," Sybiha said on X.

Earlier, Szijjarto said that Ukraine had recently carried out several attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline, which is "important for the secure energy supply of Hungary."

Szijjarto accused Ukraine of "primarily harming Hungary and, of course, Slovakia, not Russia." He said his country had decided to "ban the commander of the military unit that carried out the recent extremely serious attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline from entering Hungary and the entire Schengen area."
