Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held talks with President of the Swiss Confederation Karin Keller-Sutter and Head of International Security Division Gabriel Lüchinger, focusing on Ukraine's peace efforts as well as economic and trade cooperation.

"Together with Presidential Office Chief Andriy Yermak and First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsia, we briefed our partners on the tragic events in Kyiv overnight. As of now, 15 people are confirmed dead, including four children. Pressure on the aggressor must be increased, and we are waiting for a strong response from other countries. I am grateful to Switzerland for its condolences and support," Svyrydenko wrote on Telegram.

She said the meeting also included an exchange of views on the state of Ukraine's peace efforts and those of its partners following the Washington summit, as well as on the next steps in this direction.

"We also discussed economic and trade cooperation. We highly value Switzerland's commitment of CHF 5 billion through 2036 for Ukraine's recovery under the Ukraine Country Programme strategy. Switzerland is one of our reliable partners in the humanitarian sphere. We are now working to ensure more Swiss companies participate in reconstruction," the prime minister added.
