25 teams from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) took part in the REDpreneur Ukraine training academy for the second cohort of social enterprises.

‘The final presentation of social entrepreneurship business ideas for the second cohort of one of the components of the REDpreneur Ukraine programme - “Social Entrepreneurship at the Level of Ukrainian Red Cross Organisations” - took place,’ the URCS announced on Facebook on Friday

Twenty-five teams from Ukrainian Red Cross organisations joined the training academy. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants developed their own business projects, turning ideas into full-fledged business plans with significant social impact.

The final stage demonstrated the innovativeness and creativity of the solutions. Participants impressed with their depth of analysis, clear understanding of the needs of their communities, and willingness to build sustainable social businesses, which in turn will contribute to the financial stability of Ukrainian Red Cross organisations.

As a result of the selection process, 16 teams were invited to continue their training at the next stage – the REDpreneur Ukraine master class, where they will engage in intensive work with mentors, receive expert support and have the opportunity to attract funding for the development of social projects.

The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the French and Austrian Red Cross.
