Investigations of NABU detectives in progress, we are in touch with SBU - Kryvonos

The internal investigations of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) into the actions of certain employees of the Bureau are still ongoing, and NABU is in communication with the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on this issue, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos has said.
"We immediately launched an internal investigation, we talked about it and addressed the SBU, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the State Bureau of Investigation with relevant letters so that they would provide us with these materials for conducting internal internal investigations. They are still ongoing. Some of the materials have been provided," Kryvonos said on Wednesday in Kyiv during the international conference "Movement through Resistance. How the Anti-Corruption System Works," organized by the ezine Ukrainska Pravda.
Kryvonos clarified that the internal investigation involves "evaluating the evidence that the Service provides us, questioning our employees, questioning other persons and establishing the objective truth. "And we are moving in accordance with our internal procedure to ensure the transparency of such a decision," the NABU director explained.
He added that when the internal investigation is completed, the relevant conclusions will be submitted to the disciplinary commission, which has the right to comment on it publicly, "so there should be no prohibitions on the part of the investigative body on the dissemination of information, because it will be necessary to explain to the society what we have jointly found."
"This process (of internal checks) is ongoing, I think it will continue for some time, we will still ask for evidence. Something is coming (from the SBU). We are in communication with the Service at the moment," Kryvonos said.
