Ukraine, UK agree on joint production of interceptor drones – Umerov
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov reported on the signing of agreements between the defense departments of Ukraine and Great Britain on the joint production of Octopus-100 drones.
"Ukraine is moving to a new level of defense partnership with Great Britain. In London, within the framework of the Build with Ukraine program, agreements were signed between the defense ministries of the two countries on the joint production of 1,000 Octopus-100 interceptor drones," Umerov wrote on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
According to him, this is the first Ukrainian combat drone that will be mass-produced in a NATO country.
"We will experimentally produce a thousand, and then we will scale it to the number that will be needed," Umerov explained the number of drones that appears in the agreements.
