Working group is being formed in the Rada on possible presidential elections during martial law – MP Arakhamia
The head of the Servant of the People party faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, has announced the formation of a working group in the Ukrainian parliament to quickly work on the issue of holding possible elections of the President of Ukraine during martial law.
"The discussion will be held on the basis of the Verkhovna Rada’s specialized Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning, with the involvement of representatives of all factions and groups of the parliament, the Central Election Commission, as well as public organizations dealing with election issues," Arakhamia wrote in Telegram on Monday.
The working group, according to him, is being formed "in accordance with a previous agreement."
"We will announce the date and time of the meeting soon. Media representatives will also be invited," Arakhamia said.
