Ukraine extends sanctions against Firtash, Kozak and related individuals, companies – Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the extension of sanctions against Dmytro Firtash, Taras Kozak and related individuals and companies. Zelenskyy spoke about this on his official Telegram channel on Monday.
"Today I signed new sanctions decisions. We are synchronizing our steps with the United Kingdom and extending sanctions that were nearing expiration. First, we are extending sanctions against former oligarch Dmytro Firtash and, as part of the synchronization, imposing sanctions on his close associates and companies under his control. All entities linked to Russia and its structures deserve to be blocked," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
"Second, we are also extending sanctions against one of the closest associates of former oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk — Taras Kozak — and eight companies linked to him. Long before the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression, these individuals chose Russia and, therefore, war. We will continue to counter every such entity," the president stressed.
