MP Tyschenko extended period of house arrest with wearing of bracelet until Nov 16
MP of Ukraine Mykola Tyschenko, who is suspected of illegally depriving a person of liberty, has been extended a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of a bracelet.
"The deputy of Ukraine, suspected of illegally depriving a person of liberty, has been extended a preventive measure – round-the-clock house arrest with the wearing of an electronic control device until November 16, 2024," the Prosecutor General’s Office said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
The department's message does not specify the name of the deputy, judging by the plot of the case, it’s about Tyschenko.
Tyschenko is suspected of illegally imprisoning a former serviceman in Dnipro. In June, the court in this case sent the MP under house arrest for 60 days without the right to post a bail. Subsequently, the Kyiv Court of Appeal left Tyschenko under round-the-clock house arrest.
According to the materials of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), on June 20, 2024, in Dnipro, a group of persons, on the instructions of Tyschenko, unlawfully deprived the victim of liberty - a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was held for a certain time and inflicted bodily injuries. The investigation found that this was done by prior agreement of a group of people and with the use of physical force and special means.
