Silpo opens two supermarkets in Kyiv

The Silpo supermarket chain opened a new supermarket in Kyiv on January 10 at 11 Mykilsko-Slobidska Street and is preparing to open another one this week at 1g O. Berdnyka Street, the company's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
The supermarket at 11 Mykilsko-Slobidska Street is located in a residential complex commissioned at the end of 2022. The area of the store is 915.8 sq m.
The second store, the opening of which is announced for Thursday, January 16, is also located in a new building - in the Nyvky-Park residential complex. As the press service of the developer of the complex, Intergal-Bud, clarified to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the area of the supermarket is 1,213 sq. m.
Silpo-Food LLC was created in early August 2016. According to Opendatabot, the founder of the LLC is PJSC Retail Capital closed non-diversified venture corporate investment fund (100%, Kyiv), the ultimate beneficiary is Volodymyr Kostelman.
The Silpo chain has more than 300 supermarkets in 60 cities of Ukraine and four Le Silpo delicatessen markets: in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Odesa.
The total revenue of the chain by the end of 2023 amounted to UAH 84.73 billion, which is 21% higher than the results for 2022.
It is part of the Fozzy Group industrial and trade group with more than 690 retail outlets throughout the country. The company develops retail chains of various formats: Silpo supermarkets, wholesale hypermarkets Fozzy Cash & Carry, Fora convenience stores, Thrash! discounters, Bila Romashka pharmaceutical supermarkets.
