Russian missile strikes on July 8 claim lives of 38 people, incl four children, 190 others injured – Zelenskyy
As of Tuesday morning, it is known that as a result of yesterday's Russian missile attack in Ukraine, 38 people were killed, including four children, 190 more people were injured, and a rescue operation is underway, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
“As of now, 38 people have been reported dead, including four children. My condolences to all the families and friends affected by this tragedy. Some 190 people were injured and are receiving assistance. There are 64 people hospitalized in Kyiv, 28 in Kryvyi Rih, and six in Dnipro,” Zelenskyy said on his Telegram channel.
According to the President, all patients from Okhmatdyt have been transferred to other medical institutions.
In addition, emergency rescue operations continued throughout the night in terms of places where Russian missiles hit. “In some areas where the missiles hit, rescue operations continued throughout the night, involving almost 400 rescuers. I am grateful to everyone who is rescuing and caring for our people, to everyone involved, and to everyone who is helping,” Zelenskyy noted
“We continue our work to increase the protection of our cities and communities from Russian terror. There will be decisions. The world has the necessary strength for this,” the President stressed.
He also thanked all the leaders who supported Ukraine and are preparing new joint steps to protect life from Russian terror.
Earlier, it was known about 37 dead and 170 injured as a result of the Russian attack on Monday.
